“Knowlex not only solved a very acute need at VGD, it has become an indispensable professional tool. The smooth implementation in all departments shows that Knowlex is highly scalable.” Anthony Meul, VGD partner.
In 2020, VGD faced a major challenge: how to make office expertise accessible to hundreds of employees working from home? What started with a Knowlex implementation within the Tax department grew into a scalable solution for the entire office during the pandemic.
Thanks to digital onboarding, a strong focus on innovation and subsequently extensive support through training, audits and adjustments, knowledge management became a strategic pillar within VGD. This story shows how technology and targeted support come together to ensure efficiency and consistency, even in challenging times.
After an earlier implementation within tax, the pandemic accelerated everything in early 2020. Anthony Meul, partner at VGD, quickly realized that Knowlex's scalability was essential to effectively support hundreds of employees in the new reality of “working from home”. How could the wealth of office expertise, which was normally available “somewhere” in the workplace, remain accessible to employees who — especially during the pandemic — were scattered everywhere?
All employees were given access to Knowlex and even a “corona group” was created to collect all internal information about the measures taken by the government at the time, so that advisors could deliver the same message to customers. Despite the restrictions of the time — where physical meetings were out of the question — onboarding was a success thanks to intensive digital support.
The collaboration between VGD and Knowlex is a textbook example of how an organization can use the full potential of its internal expertise. By investing in a strong knowledge management system and maximum knowledge management support, VGD not only remains flexible in a changing world, but also consistent in its quality and efficiency.
The technology is important here, but knowledge management expertise — ranging from training, audits and adjustments — is at least as crucial for VGD's internal knowledge to pay off to the fullest. This case shows that knowledge management is not a static process, but a dynamic and strategic investment that enables organizations to excel — today and tomorrow.
