Secure data transfer
We use SSL encryption, a type of security that is also used in the financial world, for all Knowlex accounts. This encryption is used for both external and internal connections. The encryption ensures that sensitive information is never sent or received as readable text. Users' data remains separate at all times thanks to this sophisticated security system.
Backups
All data are automatically backed up, which is also stored redundantly. Thanks to our server and network structure, Knowlex remains accessible at all times. We maintain an uptime of 99.9%, so that we can guarantee continuous quality service.
Throttling and request tracking
We block requests that come from known vulnerable IP addresses or ranges.
By throttling and rate-limiting requests from the same IP, we prevent potential abuse.
Ethical hacking program
We've set up an ethical hacking program. Currently, a group of independent safety specialists is constantly testing the security of our application. This is how we discover and close potential weak spots.
Professional management
Knowlex user data is managed in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). These servers are continuously monitored to ensure compliance with the latest industry standards and risks are continuously managed.

Data within the EU
Knowlex's data is all stored within the borders of the EU. AWS data centers are distributed in clusters across countries around the world, but Knowlex data (including backups) is only stored in Europe.

AWS is fully compliant with EU data protection laws (GDPR).
